3G K618 from Sony Ericsson: A successful mix of work and leisure.

The Sony Ericsson K618 was announced on August 8, 2006. Its design is modeled after the V630, but without the Vodafone branding. The new Sony Ericsson K618

was developed for those users who want “the best of these two worlds”, mobile entertainment and powerful business tool. The Sony Ericsson K618 offers a good all-round feature set in a slotkingkong compact and attractive design.

Sony Ericsson K618 (UMTS / GSM 900 / GSM 1800 / GSM 1900) is a slim (102 x 45.2 x 16.9 mm) and lightweight cell phone (89 g) with software for multimedia and business solutions. This 3G cell phone is as lightweight and slim as a typical 2.5 cell phone. But in the meantime it offers fast messaging, quick music (MP3, AAC, AAC+, and eAAC+ files) and video downloads and cool java games.

The 2 mega pixel camera allows you to take really good photos that you can view as is on the large TFT LCD 256K color 1,9 screen (176 x 220 pixels, 30 x 37 mm) or download on your computer using Bluetooh. You can customize the display with wallpapers and screensavers. Just a simple click on the button dedicated to the camera and it is on. Although it doesn’t have an optical zoom, it is still possible to use the digital 2,5x zoom. With the software Mobile Blogger, you can instantly put online your photos and share them with friends and family. If you need a higher resolution, go for K800. It is not the most stylish phone but it has got a great 3 mega pixel camera. Sony Ericsson k618 is also ready for video conferencing or rather video calling (VGA 640×480 pixel resolution front facing camera) thanks to its 3G connectivity.

Cell phone Sony Ericsson k618 is provided with a 256 Mo Memory Stick Micro (M2) that allows to store many data files. You should be able to store around 700 photos or 230 songs for example. While with the 16 MB internal memory, you can store no more than 5 to 7 songs. You can also buy another memory card of larger capacity up to 1 Go.
